Energy measurement device for DIN rails

The UMG 104 equipped with a 500 MHz DSP (digital signal processor) is a very fast and powerful power analyser.

Harmonics
Harmonics occur due to operating equipment with a non-linear characteristic, e.g. transformers used in saturation, energy saving bulbs, frequency converters and power electronics. They cause a load on the mains due to additional currents and can affect or even destroy operating equipment. This mains feedback can be detected and documented using power quality analysers.
Accuracy of Measurement
The high accuracy of measurement is due to the high sampling rate and very good long-term stability. If used as intended (ambient temperature!), accuracy of measurement is always better even after years of use than that of conventional meters immediately after delivery. Devices that are certified according to class A are available for measuring tasks that are particularly demanding.
Memory
Many UMG measuring devices have their own memory containing typical recording ranges of up to 2 years. Recording is freely configurable. A 128 megabyte memory can record around 5,000,000 values.
Thermistor Input
The integrated thermistor input for thermal elements (PT 100/1000, KTY 83 or 84) can be used in diverse ways. Therefore, sensitive system parts can have further protection in addition to current and power monitoring, e.g. transformer temperature. Typical application areas are temperature monitoring in low voltage main distribution systems, transformers or server cabinets.
